I met Megan years ago.
We were both teachers near FW and she was on my sister’s team.
Eventually we were on the same team teaching second grade together.
She felt called to take in foster children and give them a temporary home while their parents cleaned up their act.
I remember the day she received a phone call about a little six month old baby boy.
She happily welcomed him into her home.
He was PRECIOUS and so sweet. Megan was a natural mother, from the get go.
Not long after she began fostering she fell head over heels and was able to adopt him!
Cooper was hers and she was his.
Years went by, Megan moved down south in the Houston area to be near her family.
Megan’s BF lives in Louisiana and insisted Megan meet her husband’s BF: Logan
Logan and Megan met at a TCU game in Fort Worth and didn’t fall – immediately.
It was AFTER the game, when they went home to their own cities – 300 miles apart – and had a phone call.
That phone call lasted HOURS – full of laughter and connection!
I remember those phone calls, the ones where you NEVER want to hang up the phone! π
Not long after that , they realized… they were IN LOVE!
I was thrilled to see that Megan was engaged… to a good, strong, faithful, and child loving man.
I was even more honored and excited to have been asked to document their wedding day!
Their wedding took place on their land… where they will one day build their dream home!
It was stunning – the TALL gorgeous Louisiana trees, the windy dirt road leading up to their ceremony, the barn next door to celebrate their nuptials.
It was perfect.
Their ceremony was very meaningful – adding in an adoption ceremony for Cooper!
They also planted a tree in honor of their new life together!
They were his and he was theirs.
Megan, Logan and Cooper,
Thank you thank you thank YOU for allowing me to document your day.
You three are beautiful!
I pray that the Lord continues to bless your family and fulfills your wants and needs.
Many blessings and thanks.
.love.

BREATHTAKING! Arden you captured Meggie Poo’s event in such a magical light. I am sitting here welling up as I look at each photo mostly b/c I am ABSOLUTELY thrilled for Megan and partially b/c I am sad that I was unable to be there. You have captured their bliss with that “eternal” lens of yours and that is such a blessing! One of my favorite shots is the one of them at the bottom of the barn and everyone else looking down from above. Megan the details and finishing touches to your wedding theme are absolutely clever and magazine worthy. Much love to the Hunt family.
