I met Natalie two or three years ago when she applied to be my assistant.
My personality is a little – um – flighty.
She emailed after submitting her resume and made sure I hadn’t dropped the ball {which I had}.
I was thrilled with her professional persistence.
She was JUST what I needed.
Someone on top of things who was also cute, sweet, and FUN. 😉
While she worked for me, she meet a boy at TCU.
I loved hearing about their relationship and growth. Isn’t LOVE divine?
Once she graduated she would move back to Oregon, back home, while Grant would finish his last year at TCU.
Well, by golly – they continued their long distance relationship and just after graduating he moved up to be with his girl. 🙂
I was thrilled watching all of this unfold via Facebook and then of course SO happy when I saw the proposal photos!
Natalie is beautiful, funny, hip, kind and strong.
Having her turn into my “client” is such an honor, seriously!
We both wanted to do their engagement photos in Oregon, but little baby Cinco is coming right in the middle of their perfect spring season.
Natalie and Grant flew down a couple of weeks ago to meet with some vendors and have their engagement photos taken.
It had been BEAUTIFUL here in Texas… at least it was the day they flew in.
Unfortunately we had only one day to shoot before the huge snow/ice storm blew in during their stay.
We had one day and that day had a HIGH of 37 degrees!
We HAD to do it. Freezing or not. Windy or not. Overcast or not.
They met me at Brewed for a few photos indoors before heading to the frigid outdoors.
We ran over to the Kimball for a few more modern and artistic shots, then finished off in beautiful nature.
These two were TROOPERS, I mean truly.
Grant and I enjoyed our dripping noses and numb toes while Natalie would toss the jacket aside and own that cold!
I don’t think it really phased her!
The best part is you cannot even tell they were FREEZING – literally. 🙂
N+G
Thank you for being AWESOME.
You heated up that frigid air around surrounding you.
I am so stoked to be a part of your wedding day.
Enjoy these next few months and see you soon!
.love.
